What Client’s Are Saying
Case Study #1
We worked with the board to create the vision which gave clear directions to the ED as to where the organizational focus should be over the next 3-5 years.
With the vision identified, we then worked with the ED to help the staff build an operational plan, including where their values showed up and aligned with those of Hope House.
These foundational assets accompanied by clear directives to accomplish the desired vision will enable the Hope House community to continue supporting one another with relevant, timely, and impactful services and programming.
We were initially brought in to Hope House to help them articulate their purpose and mission for their upcoming strategic plan. They were an organization that had experienced a great deal of change and turnover over the last 3-5 years.
Step 1: Identify the challenges
Challenges
There were several board members who were retiring and new ones coming on board.
Staff changing due to retirements and new team members being brought in.
Their programming had grown from single digit offerings prior to Covid to over 20 offerings in response to community needs as a result of Covid.
It became very clear during our daylong session that the purpose and mission were not enough.

Step 2: Understanding the foundations of the organization
The leadership team and board worked together to draft both a purpose statement and a future vision. We had the leadership team share with the board why they came to work, and what it is they did each and every day in simple statements. This allowed the board to get a better understanding of what staff and volunteers did, and the deeper meaning behind it.
Questions we asked:
Where is it that they wanted to go?
How did they want to continue to intentionally serve their community?
Step 3: The final vision…………………………………………
Solutions
We needed to create alignment and the future vision for Hope House. We needed to provide them with a framework for creating and operationalizing their strategic plan.
Case Study #2
When we began our relationship with The Tribe Network, we worked with the Founder and a few key advisors to create the foundation for the development of Tribe to support a conscious journey of growth over the next 3 to 4 years. The resulting strategies and assets will inform the operations and culture of the organization through its initial startup phases.
We were then brought back in to support the Founder and his team; providing regular strategic support to continue developing the necessary assets. This will allow the Tribe team to focus on the current deliverables while building out future resources. This clarity will ensure Tribe builds the collective capability required to fulfill its contracts and build sustainability and longevity into the future.
We provide ongoing coaching support for the team as they build out processes and strategies to help them grow.
DLM worked on the foundational strategy development with Tribe over the last year, including the following:
Creating a Common Understanding & Language
Purpose, Values, Cultural Commitments
Vision and Areas of Focus
Operational & Implementation Planning
